The Crappy Week
This has been such a terrible, overly-emotional week. And busy. So busy. So I'm no longer going to VA next week for the concert, but I am going to Poughkeepsie (how the heck do you spell that) NY later in June. I have 3rd row, not 2nd, but oh well. I don't even know how to use my camera yet so I need this extra time.
I just had to sell tickets, cancel reservations, buy new tickets, make new reservations, and book some flights. The great thing about VA was that I wouldn't have to fly, but now I'll be taking 3 flights just to get to NY and then 3 flights back. 6 horrendous flights for this trip.
But hey...I'll still be seeing Justin, straight-on. My tickets are still dead center. *tears of relief and addled joy ensue*
And, oh my gosh, Agent Sands's full name is Sheldon Jeffrey Sands. How did it take me 3 times of seeing the movie to hear that? I'm supposed to be the one who soaks in every detail of Depp movies on the FIRST viewing! *grr*

Daily Dirt
1. When was the last time you went shopping?
Thursday
2. What was the last thing you bought?
Soundtrack for Once Upon a Time in Mexico (Johnny's song is great), and DVD The Man Who Cried. (Which I haven't seen yet, but I envy Christina Ricci and John Turturro for being in multiple movies with The Depp.)
3. How much did it cost?
Geez, I don't know. My mind must have blocked out the disturbing fact that I've spent more money.
4. Was it for you or someone else?
Myself. Obviously.
5. What's one thing you ALWAYS buy when you go shopping?
Well, why would I need to buy the same thing over and over? Unless this includes something boring like groceries. I guess you could say I buy something Depp-related almost every time I go shopping. The obsession is getting out of control. I went to a Mexican restaurant the other day and ordered the dish that seemed closest to Puerco Pibil. (I found a recipe for the thing but I certainly don't want to roast the pork for 4 hours.) And I was very particular about the shape of the prescription sunglasses I ordered the other day. Am I turning into Agent Sands?

Wednesday Wrath
Ok, so that's not a real Meme, but it should be. I need an excuse to rant, rave, and otherwise complain. I got dsl for the computer, and everything's going haywire. It's actually slower than it was before until you get started. Getting started takes around 20 minutes, if I were to venture a guess.
(Computers are friends...not objects you can hurl power tools at...)

A quick post.
I love Depp Impact. Due to the TV listings on that site, I've been able to see From Hell 2 1/2 times this week, Inside the Actors Studio, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas--which I got up at 4:30 am to tape (was it worth it? I'm not sure I "get" that movie. And Johnny always needs hair. Shaving it off is wrong.)
Word of advice. Keep the hat on, Johnny. And never, ever take it off.

Thinking...
I'm weighing my options here. I might just go to the concert after all, even though in the long run that might be a pretty bad idea. It would be too hard to try to get new tickets for a different show, make new travel plans, etc. So I'm thinking I might just go anyway, despite the problems that would cause for my schedule...
And thank you again, Andrea, for being so sweet even though I was ranting and raving back there... :)
I still don't know what I'm going to do, but I've decided not to close the door on the concert just yet. I'm going to have trouble no matter what I choose to do...but if I give up on the concert now I'll probably end up regretting it and then Justin'll have to flog me (well, that's not a bad thing). So I'm going to keep thinking about this..

My Life is Ruined
Crap. I love that word: crap. So expressive. Of course, Johnny Depp prefers the word...nevermind. Let's stay focused on The Moody Blues--the object of my despair. This is probably one of the worst days I'm going to have this year because, due to reasons I'd rather not get into discussing, I quite probably will have to sell the best concert seats I've ever had in my life.
Yes, second row center, in front of Justin Hayward, an object of great obsession to me. I've never been so lucky with tickets before and I paid an arm and a leg for these babies. But now, due to, let's say, more pressing obligations, I don't think I'll be going to Virginia to see that concert. I'm going to have to give up my best freakin' tickets and by now so many shows have been selling tickets for so long that the best seats for concerts on other dates, dates more convenient for me, will be LONG GONE.
So my life is complete and utter crap. I'm never going to get this chance again and the fates seem to be likely to point to the selling of my tickets. I even bought a digital camera for that occasion and now that'll be more wasted money.
Oh well. One more illusion shattered, one more broken dream...
Oh forget the poetry. My life is CRAP!!!

Oh My God! They cloned Justin!!!
I have to see this movie (Blow) now. I don't care that it will depress me! Look at how it resembles the Justin hair!
And the Justin sideburns!
Wheee!

I've just been incredibly cheered up by a few things just now, and they're worthy of another post.
1. The Certifiable Wenches blog has a cute post about...guess who...Johnny Depp. Go look at it!
2. I found some kind of weird BBC show Justin Hayward was on--here. Apparently it's called "Jammin", and if you like Justin enough you'll put up with the obnoxious host and other ridiculous guests so you can hear Justin sing "Maggie May" by Rod Stewart, a Buddy Holly song of course, and he even talks--just a little. A (strange) gem for Justin lovers... He's such a good sport, as these people make him slaughter Forever Autumn--"I wish I had a sandwich with me" (?!?)
3. The Moody Blues have a (GASP) new DVD that's worth buying. "The Lost Performance" as it's being called--and it's from 1970! Good lord almighty, do you have any idea how rare this is? You can preorder it from CD Universe or Amazon.
(Probably no one cares about any links I might post here, but I have to rejoice these unlikely events.)

Random thoughts...
I don't even know if this will post correctly. Blogger won't let me do anything right now. *snarling sounds*
You know, it's tiring having friends. (Not internet friends--friends you have to go out to eat with and things). Not that I have many, but I had to do a lot of things with a friend to tonight to gain some brownie points with her. Consequently, I missed Friends. (The show, not actual people.) The second-to-the-last episode of my favourite show--something important was bound to happen. And I forgot to tape it. Rar! I don't even like the way they're handling these last episodes, but I still need to watch them, being a follower of the show. Even if Matt Le Blanc is the only one still able to make me laugh. Also, I let this same friend borrow the movie Benny and Joon. Bless her, she loved it and watched it 3 times. However, she says nothing of returning it. Nice person that I am, I don't press the matter. I think I'm gonna have to buy another copy.
Anyway, I've been listening to the bonus disk of Elvis Costello's "Punch the Clock". As much as I love the actual album, it's amazing to hear what his demos sounded like. I've never been a fan of horns and the brass section in general, and I tried not to let the use of said horns on the album annoy me, but hearing the demos make me really, really wish the horns weren't there. I knew he was a good guitar player, but hearing the demos really proves his talent to me. It's a pity the arrangements on the album completely cover up his guitar playing, as it's just fantastic. My current fav song, btw, is "The Element Within Her"....

Watch "The Young Ones", 80's BBC show, and wish they'd made more than 12 episodes.
Drool over wonderful King of America cover.
Kidnap Elvis AND Justin Lodgey AND Paul to preserve sanity and ward off post-concert depression.
Pretty much try to stay in a constant state of confusion (like Johnny Depp) just because of the expression it leaves on my face.
Protest War
