Oh wow. So incredibly tired. It's a wonder I even have time for this meme. Right now I have to somehow muster the energy to take down Halloween decorations (which makes me sad) in preparation for Thanksgiving.

Tuesday Tunes
Got back from the Pogues this week, and now I'm really paying for it by catching up on so many things I've got to do (and shirked responsibility on while partying with the Pogues). :(
But now, here's a Music Memoirs meme.
3 Questions
What song makes the best political statement to you? Elvis Costello & Allen Toussaint - The River in Reverse (I mean just that song... not the whole album)
What's your favorite "folk" song? The Pogues & The Dubliners - Whiskey in the Jar
How do you feel about candidates choosing pop songs for their campaigns? If history is any indication, it doesn't seem like a good idea. I'm thinking mainly of the Springsteen "Born in the USA" fiasco.
Now here's a question of my own. How about that recent event-- Elvis Costello singing "Happy Birthday" to Hillary Clinton at her party? Is that better or worse?

Watch "The Young Ones", 80's BBC show, and wish they'd made more than 12 episodes.
Drool over wonderful King of America cover.
Kidnap Elvis AND Justin Lodgey AND Paul to preserve sanity and ward off post-concert depression.
Pretty much try to stay in a constant state of confusion (like Johnny Depp) just because of the expression it leaves on my face.
Protest War
(feeling a little ambitious, are we?)
