Trying to come up with innovative answers for this. The keyword there is "trying." It's not the meme's fault, mind you - it's mine for feeling tired and blerghy all the time. The questions themselves are very good, as always. :)
From Music Memoirs
3 songs you can't get enough of right now. It's very old school stuff, I know. 1. Elvis Costello - Party Girl 2. Nick Lowe - Burning 3. The Smiths - The Boy with the Thorn in His Side
2 artists you'd like to recommend to us. No one you wouldn't already know, I'm sure. ;)
1 album you can't wait to purchase. Elvis Costello's new album, "Secret, Profane and Sugarcane."
Skipping back to last week's "Tuesday Tunes" because I love love love the questions. Tuesday Tunes: Week 80
Music and Travel
What music format do you take when you roadtrip and why? (CD, mp3 etc) CD, which is kind of ridiculous, but for a true road trip, you're in the car and my car has a CD player. Even when it's not a road trip and I'm going by plane, I load up the Case Logic with CDs and pack my walkman.
Do you ever make special mixes or playlists just for your trip? Definitely. I have a mix of London songs I did for my first London trip. I've also made mixes of artists like EC or the Moody Blues just before travelling to see concerts of theirs.
Have you ever associated a certain album or band with a trip you made? Again, absolutely. Probably every single trip I've ever made has at least one song that I associate it with. Whether it was because the song was in my head at the time, or because it came out around that time, or seemed to fit the situation. One of my Moodies concert trips will always be associated with "Don't Need a Reindeer," because I heard them playing it at their soundcheck, and then put that song on repeat on the trip home. A much weirder example is the Sweeney Todd soundtrack, which I was listening to on a recent trip. But I have so many examples, it'd take ages to list.
I adore these questions. I almost feel like they were made for me! ;D

Watch "The Young Ones", 80's BBC show, and wish they'd made more than 12 episodes.
Drool over wonderful King of America cover.
Kidnap Elvis AND Justin Lodgey AND Paul to preserve sanity and ward off post-concert depression.
Pretty much try to stay in a constant state of confusion (like Johnny Depp) just because of the expression it leaves on my face.
Protest War
